A 41-year-old man was arrested in Perth after Australian Federal Police and WA Police conducted a joint raid of a Scarborough home and seized 14.3 kilograms of methamphetamine.
AFP also executed search warrants on five residential premises in Sydney and two vehicles in the city's eastern suburbs, where they seized $26,000 cash and arrested a 42-year-old man.
Last month, federal police arrested two men in Sydney and seized 50 kilograms of methamphetamine as part of the same investigation.
Those men are currently before the New South Wales courts facing drug trafficking charges.
AFP Acting Superintendent Scott Girling said the joint investigation was a significant result for law enforcement in Western Australia.
"The AFP has worked closely with WA Police, and the Australian Crime Commission from the outset in relation to this operation, which has resulted in a significant disruption to organised crime and the supply and distribution of illicit drugs in WA," Acting Superintendent Girling said.
WA Police Specialist Crime Assistant Commissioner Nick Anticich said it was another example of serious organised crime trying to take hold in Western Australia.
"It is another example of an exponential growth in organised crime that is being attracted to our state from overseas and nationally," Mr Anticich said.
"The size of this seizure and the amount of harm it would have caused cannot be understated.
"We are pleased to have worked closely with our national law enforcement partners to bring this to a successful conclusion."
The 41-year-old man will face in Perth Magistrates Court today, charged with possessing a commercial quantity of a border controlled drug, namely methamphetamine.
The 42-year-old man will appear in Sydney Central Local Court today, charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of a border controlled drug, namely methamphetamine.
The maximum penalty for these offences is life imprisonment and/or an $825,000 fine.
