Wiregrass authorities arrested six people over the weekend as part of two separate investigations, which included drug trafficking charges and exposing a 1-year-old to meth. Court records indicate Houston County Sheriff’s investigators arrested two people on multiple felony charges after finding a meth lab on Bluff Springs Road in Cowarts on Saturday. Records indicate investigators arrested Kevin Lee Stephens, 38, of Daphne, and Aaron Dewayne Tillery, 20, of Cowarts, and charged them each with trafficking meth, manufacturing meth and possession of precursor chemicals. Deputies also charged Tillery with felony chemical endangerment to a child for allegedly exposing a 1-year-old boy to meth on Saturday. Court records indicate both Stephens and Tillery were charged with trafficking about 3.5 ounces of meth from Tillery’s home on Bluff Springs Road in Cowarts on Saturday. Both men were taken to the Houston County Jail and held on $175,000 bail for both the trafficking and manufacturing charges. In an unrelated investigation, Troy police investigators arrested six people on cocaine trafficking charges after serving a search warrant at a residence Friday night. A police statement said investigators served the search warrant around 6:45 p.m. in the 200 block of Montgomery Street. A statement from the Troy Police Department said investigators arrested the following four people on cocaine trafficking and felony marijuana possession charges: Jerome Henderson, 34, Marion Caldwell, 32, Thaddeus Flowers, 40, all of Troy, and Gary Shannon, 37, of Montgomery. The statement said Shannon was also charged with possession of a pistol by a violent felon. All four men were taken to the Pike County Jail and held on $50,000 bail for the trafficking charges, and $7,500 bail for the felony marijuana possession charges.
